Just had to add these photos! Kawai imitates the boys moves on the skateboard.
Happy.
Noah as a Tween, but not for long!
Kawai's first ride downhill, not so sure where he is going.
And, hello--Kawai gets tired of posing, but he lovessss Uncle Frank.

June Lake & Hipstamatic Fun

Sarah gifted me with an itouch/4th Generation! We downloaded "Hipstamatic" app that gives you a dated look. It was a winter wonderland through these lenses.

Kawai, Sarah and Luke in the sunshine.
"Grandpa" taking Kawai for a little walk about for a break from the long ride to June Lake.
Second day of snowboarding and the adventurous side of the family are leaving.
Uncle Frank puts in so much babysitting time and he puts in love and heart into caring for Kawai.
Here I am. . .put a little passion into kisses I say, Go Big or Go Home. And below. . .Lorin, Frank and Noah before their first outing snowboarding.

Inspired by this year's study in the Book of Isaiah through Bible Study Fellowship.

Children Make the World Go Round

At least in my world they do! Uncle Frank is experiencing firsthand how valuable it is to be present in a child's life. . .
And this beautiful moment, I remember so well visiting Sarah and Lacette in Huntington Beach. Noah raising his arm at when snapping the photo (I AM HERE), Luke so shy, Sarah in the sun. . .and Frank so happy. {Miss those scrappy days!}

Additional Art Journal Everyday

Ocean ornaments :).
Love this one, looks very much like the frame & photo. Lorin says I captured the way both Sarah and I look in the photo, Frank says the sketch looks like Sarah.

An exercise from my read, Peter Walsh's "Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat?"; umm, just began this book & it's a productive read!

Inspite of Being. . .

locked down for another Toddler stint, oh the wonderful world of Ian Falconer! It expresses my sense of humor, and I could be Olivia in spirit!
Not unusual to be wide awake in wee morning hours.
Page 3 from "Olivia".

Practice, practice. Do it.

Art Journal Every Day

Julie Fei-Fan Balzar is featuring "Art Journal Everyday". Another vehicle to keep on task. I who have so many vehicles and start up projects at a snap, finishing is not as snappy though. I just go for the ride!
Did I just post my sketch of underthingies?
A cult that Victoria's Secret. And, my goodness--reading about LISTOGRAPHY on Balzar's Design and Anja Wade's blog. . .I am interested! How can I just put it all together to avoid the danger of like the Bermuda Triangle?

Hello 2011. iCraft!

December was a tough month to move through. Honestly for me, too much to do in so little time. How I managed to do these projects is true indication of my messy home not seen on the blog :}, this coral design lifted from Jennine.
Shell hairpins with bits of sea glass.
This special mirror is made for Michael Mo Allen; a belated Christmas gift. It has abalone pieces tucked about. My brother-in-law gifted me with a stash of broken abalone for crafting--I put it to use immediately. This mirror is gorgeous!

Goodbye 2010. You were so good to me!

Caring for Kawai & watch him grow this year!
Maui twice: 1) one to see my mommy, 2) see sister marry!
Costa Rica & shelling, listening to Rosie Thomas. . .
New drapes--how can I pick that one pattern???
Craft room cabinets designed by hubby--be still my beating heart!
Ended a study in the Book of John
Began a study in the Book of Isaiah, define my life as a Christian
Long year of baseball games for Luke and Noah, like under a hundred games! How will I ever let go of my boys?
Camping Rock Creek (-Frank); breathe in the mountainside
Broken heart, healing (private)
teeth implant work (need I say anymore?)
Bellagio, downtime, decadent
Boston, Old World
Martha Study (unfinished)
Some crafting, carving stamps!

{The physical aspects I can gleefully list; but I am wondering about the matters of the spirit & heart I battle through, what were they & can I check them off like a pilot ready for take off? Suffering teen angst? Check! Worry less? Check! Pray more? Check Check!!}

Found Under the Christmas Trees

Everyone is on board for the family photo, it's one of our favorite traditional shots we take. We love asking that random lot worker to help us out, the goofiness that ALWAYS occurs. . .we don't dress to impress, and my biggest hope is that we are all smiling--we nailed it this year. Of course, we love that Kawai is captured in his element! We'll give him a couple years to get with our program. Merry Christmas Loves!

Gifts Not Found Under a Tree

Of course, this craft space still in progress but ready for me, crafted by one creative man! Lucky for me he is mine! He may not do baseball, but he does do this! I can't have EVERYTHING ladies!
My brother-in-law brought this up from the ocean blue. . .I inherited the pink coral yesterday! Let's place it in my Happy Room! {Gary, love you! Thank you for thinking of me!}
First place in a Just-Wanna-Play-Ball tournament this past weekend for Yates Baseball Academy. Noah played four games and pitched in two. . .it was 85 degree December weather! Playing ball in the sunshine!
Luke last week at freshman baseball tryouts. He did not make the team, it's an unspeakable disappointment, to not have this dream realized for a 14 year old. Time will heal & we will replace one dream with another. . .you make me so proud Luke.
This year, oddly, I don't have snowmen or santa/reindeer cheer. . .the true meaning is about Christ. Picked this up at Albertson's, LOL, but it suits me just fine. As of the 13th. . .it's the only thing out. Behind or ahead of the game?

The Reveal! Bliss!

How easy it is for me to fill shelves. . .if only I could keep the creative space looking this classy!
Late last night, Lorin & I were able to review the quality time he spent on this project to make my bliss come true.

Thank you BHITW.
