Her Projects vs. His Projects

LOL.  New wall hangings vs. new brick path being laid (just begun).   Above are Her projects, below His.   Okay, my Superhero wins.  He builds in 100 degree weather, I craft in cool shade.  It works for me!

My Happy Place

The making of. . .yes, shell houses!  LOL!
Lovely shell haven.
A new Sketch Journal!  Came accross the wonderful artist Jennine, had an eyeful inspiring look of her simple format of journaling & adopted it immediately!  I love designing in little spaces!
Funny sketches of our "Go To" items.  Below is an incomplete project with shell houses I have begun.  Which
house would you like to live in?

We Are the Champions!

These boys are quite special.  We won Corona American Little League Majors Championship yesterday, 10-5!  The Rozatti boys came home four times, Luke was 2 for 3, Noah 2 for 2.  Luke received one of three game balls given for outstanding plays at center field and stealing 5 times!  We now move on to Tournament of Champions and then (hopefully) All Stars!

Busy Bee Photo Stream

Del Mar Beach with friends & family, Lorin's Dad Frank and sis Kathy.
A dear friend, known as Sue visits me after many years have passed.
Invitation for a June Baby Jones shower created for the occasion.  I made 30 of them using a Heidi Swapp stamp, watercolor paper, prisma pencils and a Technique Tuesday invitation stamp set.  It read "Come Bless Mama and Baby."  After a long hiatus from scrapping it was great to be back creating something!
A absolutely fun time up North with Lacette, Janet & her daughters shelling at El Capitan Beach.  (Wherein I lost my favorite Angel's hat, sniff*.)
Another day shelling with Janet, Diane, Kathy & Frank (Lorin's sister & Dad) at Del Mar.
Putting to good use, my abundance of shells!  I am in a summer's state of mind!
Two May birthdays:  Luke is now 13 and Noah is 11.
Today in a stunning, last inning down 3-1, Luke & Noah's team the Trojans vs. the 2nd place team won 4-3!  With bases loaded and two outs--the team was  able to get a grounder up the middle to bring home three runners, just enough to win the game!  Practically each runner had to battle from a 0-2 count!

Slight catch up on this blog. . .it's the end of the school year and time for vacation.

My Wedding Album??!

This coming June 1st, I will be married 18 years.  And in all these 12 years of scrapping, uh, some 50+ albums later--No, no I did not do my wedding album. . .but I think I am ready.  It's difficult to do something as important as a wedding album because styles change, embellishments become outdated.  Therefore, I think I have a game plan. . .it's to keep it simple with some basic colors.  I am guessing that simplicity can be timeless, agree?  {The above photo was a blurry photo taken by a friend who sang Ave Maria & she took it from the choir balcony.  No matter, I love this photo. }  Being sort of naturally scatterbrained, this project will be in the making for a long time!

LOL: Scrapbook Smackdown!

Oh, you must double click to see these cute elephants tied with embroidery floss.

The way to breathe & smell the flowers is to have scrapbooking time.

A Few Layouts & A Special Photo

I could translate how busy I am until the end of time--oh, I may just do that!
Lorin had to put Storm BEHIND his laptop as she usually sat on his chest.  This is what we do in the mornings, a  hot cup of java, laptops, fine music & the best company.
This is a carved rubber image Frank designed for his Art class.  Wow, talented boy that one!
It makes me melancholy to reminisce about my Mom.  And here is a precious photo of my Mom.  She was a cheerleader for Baldwin High School on Maui in 1947-8!  Her sister tells me what a beauty she was in her youth, and as a child I did compare her to Jackie Onassis because my Mom had this timeless simple yet elegant beauty like Jackie O.  My Mom became a RN, but was swept away by a soldier she married.  Her marraige lasted 17 tough years.  She had six children.  After her divorce, my Mom reinvented her life by going back to work as an LVN.  She worked some 20 years caring for the elderly, what amazing inner strength she had.   Mom is 80 now, dementia has taken most of her mind & she has been having seizures and falling quite a bit.  This is a bitter time for me living on the other side of the Pacific unable to help care for her.  May the Lord's grace cover a multitude of sadnss, human frailties & misunderstandings. His grace usually does.

At the Creative Table a Bit

I realized I was cranky because I have not been scrapbooking, so I took care of that today.  I ignored the housework!

Happy Birthday Lacette!

March 18:
No matter what age, Lacette gets younger & younger.  Sharing the day was a hoot.  I loved that the employees greeted Lacette with a special "Happy Birthday!" all day long.  Our boys are soooo fun & handsome to hang with!  The last time I was at Disneyland was about oh, nine years ago??

Girly girls.  You know how we are about the castle & prince!
LOL.  I seriously believe in self portraits!  And when there is more than two in a photo it's always spontaneous & fun.

At the Happiest Place on Earth:  so much fun--and where does the time go?   Lacette & Michael.  L&M may seriously be the happiest kin I know.

Opening Day-Corona American Little League

Luke & Noah are on the same team!  Luke the senior will have to show Noah the junior how it is done!
Two classmates, above is Chad & below is Andrew with Noah.  Sharing the 2009 Spring Season!

A snap of the banner as the team began a walk around the field.  We played a game at 5 p.m.; Luke expressed this:  "I LOVE playing a game on Opening Day!"  Noah got a singe with 2 RBI's, Luke hit a double, pitched well and received the game ball.  They did win by the way!

A Few Layouts

Still have a few pages of my Christmas Journal album to do~ !  And, I was in the mood to just do some good ole' pages as doing the Art Journal tends to tense me up somewhat as I am unfamiliar with the medium.  A few new scrap artist's, including Dina Wakley who is teaching my online class uses paint quite a bit.  I love the look it brings to the pages.

Cheerfulness Vs. Obamanomics

I may be in denial trying to be cheerful in these tanking economic times, my country--the Constitution transformed. . .
