Christmas You Can't Purchase

I am resting today. It's been a tight schedule of racing to get stuff done, but I'm able to relax now. A surprising snowfall for Coronians this past Thursday, most of which is gone now. But what a beautiful sight for us!
A last minute Christmas shell frame for Noah's teacher! Mrs. Blair is one of the craftiest teachers and incorporates a craft project for almost each lesson!

A casual Christmas photo for my Christmas Cards! Love my family!

My man & his love to make our home our castle. . .he breathes creative ideas!

Ah, the biggest gift that originated from my Polish stepmother Teresa, her Kolachky's greeted us
every Christmas. Delish. Baked with pure love.

While Everyone is Away. . .

Pouring rain in Southern Cali--LOVE IT! Plan on having hot chocolate & baked goods for the kids. . .I'm now five pages behind on Christmas Journal. . .and very much behind on Christmas. Ten days are going to flash by!

Oh the Memories We Collect!

I "thought" I was making good time yesterday by doing a couple of pages, until. . .well, I decided to embroider words. I found myself spending the entire length of a foreign film entitled "Priceless" with subtitles + embroidering last night! Hello!!
I changed my blog photo today to a random sight that caught my eye as my Madonna Postage Stamp photos, etc. were drying. The Scrabble tiles were a message from Noah for me (we leave each other messages); I don't know, I thought it embraced the season somewhat. I love Madonna & Child Christmas Postage Stamps, I think amongst many other crazy stuff I do, I'd like to seriously collect these.
After googling Barbie, the exact one I love, I found a reproduction on E-bay of her. . .she's $29 + $10 for delivery = shall I put her on my Christmas list?
Apparently I have time on my hands, never mind the Christmas Shopping or housework! Bah! Humbug!

Perfect Christmas

-4 Christmas Journal pages! Why don't I have more family photos?! A 2002 Christmas photo.

Confession: I thought I'd be in year #2 a bit more organized. . .but I found myself running out to Michael's for a more Christmassy scrapbook stuff. Was that just another reason to add to my already overflow of supplies?

P.S. Note little stocking! I hope Santa brings Mark Texeira to the Angels this year. . .oh please Santa. . .

Oh I Have A Christmas Story!

Lorin finished removing the carpet in the bonus room on Friday evening & began laying tile!
This room is my new scrap area, 15x12 (I am sharing it with the boys; they will have a computer nearby on the other side of the room!). But. . .this huge project at Christmas time? These photos are of his two days of laying tile! Amazing. Lorin quips, "Pride of craftmanship!"
In two days I've done two layouts for my Christmas Journal. . .let's not compare what husband and wife are doing.

I'm Trying to enjoy December

This page turned out sweet. At the Hallmark store yesterday, although my head is very far from the Christmas hurricane, I was drawn to this card, and as I thought of altering to better fit my personality. . .came up with this beautiful scripture in my reading of 1 Corinthians today! Watch! Stand fast in the faith! Be brave! Be strong! All that you do be done with love! Of course, keep the focus & keep in the moment otherwise we are ship lost in the sea of the Christmas storm. P.S. Shimelle's Journal is a blessing in disguise.

On the Weather

Shimelle's Christmas Journal, Year 2

OH OH. Here I go again, love the whole Christmas Journal project--but if my hubby knew how much time I am spending reacquainting myself with photobucket. . .& thinking about scrapbooking (AS IF THIS IS UNUSUAL), his head would spin. But he loves me, headspinning & all. True thanks to Lacette for hooking up my new photo printer just for this project, just another day in Paradise.
